Technology is constantly changing the way optometry students network. Online communities such as this one are altering the way we communicate, take courses, and meet people. The newest approach is online conferencing.
Seeing is Believing is a virtual conference that will be held January 30th and 31st of 2013. The conference has everything that a “destination” event has, including as an exhibit hall, speakers, and special events. The greatest part about it is that students get to attend the event for free thanks to Walmart/Sam’s Club. In addition to special student events and forums, there will even be time for networking to find those coveted jobs!
The perfect thing about this virtual experience is that no money has to be spent, so the conference is both financially viable and practical. No flight, no hotel, no food costs. You can sit back with your beverage and home-cooked meal of choice and listen to two days full of continuing education.
